Kallie Ruland is our West River Trade Specialist. Ms. Ruland joins us in our partnership with Elevate Rapid City, where she currently serves as the Business Development Manager. Kallie’s mission is to initiate and support expansion opportunities for existing businesses. She enjoys motivating companies and strategically guiding and coaching them in all matters pertaining to international trade.

Previously, Kallie served as the Executive Director for the Wall Economic Development Corporation where she helped local and new businesses in Wall to leverage the advantages of doing business in a small South Dakota community, and encouraged and assisted them to thrive. Ms. Ruland also worked in U.S. Senator John Thune’s Constituent Services Office in Rapid City. Kallie is a South Dakota native and has a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in business administration from Black Hills State University.

Kallie and her husband Riley live on a family ranch outside of Wall. When Kallie is not connecting businesses with expansion and retention opportunities, she is rodeoing, golfing and spending quality time with family and friends.
